Wednesday, March 22nd, 2006

I’ve had this urge to get a  bike.  Haven’t been riding a bike since I lost mine in 98.  But then again, people around me kept holding me back, saying bike not safe la.. So many accidents involving this two wheelers and yet you still wanna risk your life on them. Will they ever understand the thrill of being on a bike, a big bike especially.. Imagine la riding a cruiser (ala Harley Davidson) round KL. Lagi best if you can join those bike clubbers that goes on long haul biking trips.. Vroom vroom vroom..

Here are some cool bikes I managed to peek at recently..

Was in MidValley last month parking my car, and I saw this nice looking car banner in someone elses car.. "1 cross + 3 nails = 4given".. So, to my christian brothers and sisters, remember the Holy Father and what he had sacrificed to give us salvation.. AMEN!

In english, "Vehicle fuel price gone up…"

Again Malaysians were given the sad news that fuel prices for petrol will be increased by 30 cents per litre. The news came in on Tuesday morning and was effective as of midnight Monday. The current price for unleaded petrol is RM1.92 per litre. Diesel and LPG also were affected also. I think Diesel also went up 30 cents per litre.

How le? Our pay packages remains the same and I doubt that many companies will be changing their benefits to increase the travelling allowances / mileage claims. So, prices keep going up and our buying power keeps on going lower and lower. Sigh..

"Change your lifestyle".. That is what our Deputy PM says on The Star. Well, I think we all have no choice but to heed that advice. it is not a bad idea after all. Since, we Malaysians seem to be spending more and more of our pay for a "better" life. He he.. Nice clothes, latest mobile phones (smart ones some more), fancy sport cars, oversea holidays and etc. Time to cut down the unnecessary and I hope I can learn to control me bad habits (impulsive buyer le me)…

To the government.. Well, let’s see to it that all that billions saved will indeed benefit the rakyat. Better public transports (less cars / bikes on the roads, less pollution), better roads (less jams, less fuel used), less toll (more toll booths, more stop and go, more fuel consumption, more pollution). It will take some time for all this to happen, but if it does happen then Malaysia will be a better place to live in (then no need to entice Malaysian living abroad to come home lo, they’ll come home by themselves). It’s a start…
