Got in to Singapore today and had a change of hotel from the normal Conrad @ Suntec. This time round, I’m stayin right in the shopping hub of Orchard Road. Go here to check out the picture of my room.

Coming from the north of Malaysia where everyone speaks Hokkien (contaminated with various other slangs), I’ve kinda lost touch of it and couldn’t at times think of the right word to use.
While reading the news today, I chance to come across a web page that provides a Podcast on Hokkien dialogues. I’m listening to the Penang Hokkien #73 Pontianak now and I’m starting to learn loads of old and new words. The guy, John Ong together with his podcaster friends has a huge Penang Hokkien vocabulary. Amazing and pretty cool.
